Born in British waters back in 1987. Our story began in the South-West when two surfers designed our first product, the ‘Hook and Loop’ watch strap, quickly gaining recognition within the surfing and action-sports community. It was here that the Animal name was born and our iconic adventure began. 

Over the past 3 decades we’ve built on our board-sports heritage and have grown to become a leading lifestyle clothing brand. Our in-house design team create authentic, effortless looks for the free-spirited that combine our passion for adventure with timeless style.

Today we’re passionate about the Animal way of life, a life well-lived and immersed in nature, so we’re on a mission to be kinder to the world around us and become an even more eco-aware brand.  We’ve changed how we design and make our products. We’re improving our quality and using more responsibly-sourced materials to develop more sustainable clothes that will last the ride.
